Melody Layne, an American ghost writer in Paris, has agreed to work on a glossy cookbook featuring recipes by Freddy Perrin, winner of the high profile televised “Cuisine Idol” competition.

He’s about to open a flashy new restaurant. But when early diners get sick, it seems someone is out to sabotage the venture.
