About Lis
Lis Angus is a suspense writer living in Eastern Ontario. She grew up in Alberta, then lived in Germany for two years before moving to Ottawa to study journalism and social sciences.
She has graduate degrees in psychology and business from York University in Toronto. Her early career was spent working with children and families in crisis, and in her later career she was a telecommunications consultant and policy advisor, conference organizer, business writer and editor.
She’s a member of Sisters in Crime, International Thriller Writers, Crime Writers of Canada, and Capital Crime Writers. She and her husband have two daughters and two grandchildren, and live in a small town south of Ottawa.
I’ve always been a big reader, and I’ve always loved writing. By the time I was six, I often sat at the kitchen table writing stories while my mom cooked supper. I spent the summer I was nine writing a novel in my cousin’s hayloft.
Throughout my adult life I’ve always been writing, both for work and for pleasure. I worked hard at improving my writing skills, including taking numerous courses in fiction writing through Gotham Writers Workshop and Sisters in Crime.
I’m happy to share my novels with a world of other readers. I’m now working on a third novel.
